The history of the origin of the name of the island of Lombok and Sasak

Lombok Sasak and are two names that can not be separated. Lombok is for designation for the island, and in particular to the people of Sasak Lombok. Lombok Sasak language itself comes from "lombo," meaning "straight". While the Sasak actually comes from the word "sak-sak" which means "bercadik" boat. Historically, the name has been immortalized into the name of a Protocol and the name of the airfield in Mataram, capital of West Nusa Tenggara province.
